Therefore, as God’s chosen ones, holy and dearly loved, put on compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience.
Colossians 3:12
Hola E91, this week we had the opportunity to serve the community at Emiliano Zapata and Mezas de Las Tablas, Mexico. Watching our partners Dr. Esly and Dr. Sandy work with the community was such a blessing. I had the opportunity to go on a home visit with Dr. Sandy and watch her tend to two patients. You could really feel Jesus in the way she showed compassion for them and shared God's message with them. Another powerful moment was listening to Pastor Jenaro and Juan sing and evangelize to the patients. You could feel the Spirit moving in the Plaza.
On Monday night the ladies of our team had the opportunity to attend an event called Cafè con Dios (coffee with God). We were blessed by being able to worship and praise our God with the women of the church of Vida Nueva. Pastor Genaro's wife Christina shared a powerful message about us being God's soldiers and the importance of having the armor of God on at all times. We all enjoyed hearing these important reminders and we'll carry these words back with us. We were also able to share some refreshments with these ladies and share some stories with Christina.
On Tuesday night we attended an event hosted by Sharing Hope which entailed sharing the word of God with the kids of the community of La Biznaga, and also feeding these kids. The kids enjoyed themselves very much, they had several games for them to play and the team was able to join in on the fun. At the end of the event the kids recited some Bible verses from there memory. It was inspiring to see them, many of these kids recited up to four Bible verses. It was unbelievable and a challenge we should take upon ourselves to be able to memorize more verses. We concluded the night with worshipping with Vida Nueva church, for night service. So for it's been an enjoyable experience and we have all felt God moving.
